Tim has been taking photos of America's rivers and natural landscapes for more than 40 years and may have the most complete collection of river photos, with images from watersheds all across the U.S. He was featured in the September 2007 issue of Outdoor Photographer magazine. He was an award winner in the 2008 Yosemite Renaissance exhibit, a finalist for the Galen Rowell Art of Adventure Award, and won the Sierra Club's 2019 Ansel Adams award for "superlative photography."
Four of Tim's river photos were featured on U.S. postage stamps as part of a National Wild and Scenic Rivers series issued in 2019.
